The Versery

The Versery is a curated collection of poems that have stayed with me — work spanning five centuries, from the King James translators and William Blake to Walt Whitman, T.S. Eliot, Elizabeth Bishop, and Gerald Locklin. Each entry is chosen for craft, voice, and the particular pull a poem can have on a reader who keeps returning to it.

Every poem is paired with notes on its form, the year it was written, the themes and moods it explores, and a curator's note placing it in context.
